Easy Meatballs and Gravy Recipe
1 ¼ lbs lean ground beef
2 tbsp chopped onion
1 egg, beaten
1 ½ c milk
2 c crisp rice cereal, crushed
1 tsp vegetable oil
3 tbsp flour
1 beef bouillon cube
1 ¼ c boiling water
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
½ tsp each of allspice, nutmeg, parsley
Combine beef, onion, egg, ½ c milk and cereal in bowl; mix well. Shape into balls. Brown in oil in skillet for 5 minutes; drain on paper towels. Stir flour into pan of drippings until smooth. Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water. Add to mixture, stirring until smooth. Add remaining milk. Simmer until desired thickness. Add seasonings and meatballs. Simmer, covered for 20 minutes. Serves 6.
