Quick and Easy Beefy Skillet Dinner Recipe
My husband loves this for dinner. He is a big beef eater so he’s happy when he sees more than the plain old ground beef. He is also a hunter, so we have venison to cook with each year. This quick recipe works well with different types of venison or elk.
1 lb sirloin steak
Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetable oil
1 - 16 oz package frozen veggie mix
1 - 10 oz can cream of mushroom soup
1/3 c sour cream
1 - 4 oz jar chopped pimento
1 tsp pepper
1 - 3 oz can French fried onions
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
Cut steak into strips and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Brown on all sides in skillet. Add vegetables, soup, sour cream, pimento, 1 tsp pepper, half the onions and half the cheese. Mix well and simmer for 10 minutes. Top with the rest of the cheese and onions. Cook until cheese melts. Serves 4.
